Our life is controlled by our mind and mind has this habit of moving to past or the future. Mind can never stay in this present moment. So the whole art of meditation is to bring our attention in this present moment and being more alert. In reality we are just enough awake to do our duties skillfully. But when we start meditating then we realize that how much sleepy we used to be in our life. Meditation is an upward journey to be more conscious, more aware or more alert in our actions.
